Trent Kunkle, Scientist, Molecular Bioanalysis

Trent Kunkle joined Labcorp Biopharmaceutical CMC Services in 2018 and is presently a QC scientist operating under GMP, GLP and GCP regulatory guidance. In late 2019, Trent collaborated with internal staff to help establish the cell and gene therapy department for molecular bioanalysis. Trent specializes in DNA/RNA extraction and QPCR assay design to support cell and gene therapies throughout the drug development continuum.  

Trent received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Northern Illinois University and his Master of Science in biochemistry at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is currently a member of the AAPS Biomarkers and Precision Medicine committee working along other scientists in the industry to establish consistency for DNA and RNA contributing assessments in cell and gene therapy studies.
